About the artist:
Val Peters, who was born in Utica, NY, can remember wanting to be a singer since the tender age of five, and somehow always knew he would be.
When he was old enough to achieve his dreams, they were put on hold when he joined the United States Navy and then again as he raised his family.
In 2001, Val Peters' life-long dream began to take shape. His daughter begged him to sing at her wedding. Val did and the singing bug bit him again. Soon after, he started performing with the wedding band as a Swing Singer.
This opportunity renewed Val's burning desire to become a concert singer, where audiences would be able to enjoy his style as not just a singer, but an entertainer also.
His dreams became a reality when he met nationally acclaimed artist and producer Todd Hobin greatly encouraged Val to write the show he dreamed about. The support was all he needed, and together they started putting the show together. Val wrote the show, Todd re-mixed music specifically designed for Val's voice from the well-known big-band era's Nelson Riddle Orchestra.
Since then, Val has appeared at venues across the state of New York, thrilling audiences with an evening of romance, excitement and nostalgia- all while having the time of his life!
